David Tucker
David Tucker is a sculptor, and clay is his medium.
Most of his exhibited work has been based on the human form. In 2008 he won the Blake Prize with “a local girl comes home” which consisted of a group of human figures and a cow walking in procession.
His current work consists of objects that reference the body and the made, blurring the line between the organic and constructed. What unites these pieces is a sense of process. There is a fundamental question or perhaps an exploration of the fact that all of what we call life relies on constant change.
“Sites of Transformation” will be shown at the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery from the 28th November 2020 to the 16th January 2021.
